Your Puppy's First 30 Days: What Actually Matters (and What Can Wait)

The most common mistake in a puppy's first month isn't under-training. It's over-exposing. ๐Ÿพ

Toilet training is logistics, not obedience. Outside after every nap, meal and play session, plus roughly hourly while awake. Go out with them, and reward the moment they finish โ€” not when they come back in.

Most "naughty" evening puppies are simply overtired. Young puppies sleep something like 16 to 20 hours a day, and the six o'clock ankle-biting frenzy often vanishes within days of building proper naps into the routine.

Socialisation means good associations, not maximum exposure. A puppy watching the bin lorry from forty metres away with chicken in their mouth is learning more than one frozen on a busy high street being stroked by strangers.

We've put the whole first 30 days together โ€” week one, sleep, house-training, the socialisation window and the admin people forget. Full guide below.
